Through practice, trust, and coordinated action, you will build the leadership skills and habits to lead teams on the pitch or in the boardroom.

The Course

Leadership in Sports & Business is an executive leadership program co-developed by The Taligens Group and Mobaraza Sports for professionals operating in high-stakes, high-performance environments.

Designed for athletes, coaches, entrepreneurs, and senior leaders across cultures and disciplines, this 16-week, 35-hour blended program integrates Taligens’ commitment-based methodology with Mobaraza’s domain expertise in elite performance.

Grounded in real-world challenges, this course blends conceptual learning, hands-on practice, and peer dialogue to equip participants with skills that create transformational shifts in how leaders and teams speak, act, and coordinate—enabling them to build trust, mobilize others, elevate performance, and lead meaningful change across sport and business.

Sarah Cove

Sarah brings over 20 years of experience  implementing business transformation and culture change programs across the US, Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Africa. With a passion for creating purpose-driven environments centered in trust and focused on customers, Sarah has worked across multiple industries including energy, utilities, technology, finance, retail, agriculture, and manufacturing. An active civic leader, Sarah serves as Board President for Capital IDEA Houston, is on the regional board of UNICEF USA, and is a Board Member of Fit Houston. She is a Senior Fellow of the American Leadership Forum, a co-founder of the Houston Sustainability Professionals' Network, and a member of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Houston Sustainability Subcommittee. She holds an A.B. in Environmental Science and Public Policy from Harvard University and resides in Houston, TX.

Ricardo Monardez

With over 30 years of experience across both industry and consulting, Ricardo brings a rare blend of strategic insight and practical know-how to his work.  A longtime practitioner of Ontological Design and Commitment-based Management, he has led transformative change efforts for organizations across sectors and continents. From Fortune 500 companies to local nonprofits, his approach helps leaders navigate complexity, align culture with strategy, and build the conversations that make change stick. Prior to joining Taligens, Ricardo was Global Director of Organizational Development for a large US manufacturer, overseeing the full range of OD and Talent Management efforts in the company. He holds a Master's in Architecture from the University of Chile and is President of the Houston Organizational Development Network (HODN).

Joe Bickson

Joe brings over 15 years of experience leading organizational transformation and cultural change across sectors including industrial gas, engineering, architecture, finance, apparel, shipping, and non-profits. With a background in both management consulting and sustainable enterprise, Joe is known for his practical, hands-on approach to mobilizing complex initiatives that deliver lasting strategic value. He works with leaders to adapt operating models, build leadership capacity, and embed cultural practices that drive long-term performance. Joe serves as President of the BC Organization Development Network, a professional community of over 700 OD practitioners. He holds a B.A. in Communications and Dialogue from Simon Fraser University and is based in Vancouver, Canada.

Is there a certificate of completion?

Yes. Participants who complete all course components will receive a certificate of completion from The Taligens Group and Mobaraza Sports.
